sonails: I love how the three of them look like fucking criminals, POW’s or captured revolutionaries on this cover.I already had a post about Peter Brotzmann’s design work, but I’m just so constantly stoked and inspired by it, that it really warrants a second post. It’s amazing how like DIY and pre-punk and how fucking hardcore Brotzmann is. And keep in mind that these are records made and produced independently in the early 70s, with no fucks given towards mainstream jazz audience acceptance. His graphic art is very similar to his sax style, raw, bleak, punishing and harsh, but still very awe inspiring and beautiful.

    I already had a post about Peter Brotzmann’s design work, but I’m just so constantly stoked and inspired by it, that it really warrants a second post.
